Welcome to Sugar & Spade!

Welcome to my new blog, Sugar & Spade: baking and gardening as a twenty-something.  My name is Laura and I'm going to share my amatuer adventures in the kitchen and the garden with you.  Ever since I was a little kid growing up in the Adirondack Park, my two favorite places have been the kitchen and the garden.  I've evolved from banging on pots on the kitchen floor to whipping up sweets in the oven.  As a kid, I made a business card that read, "Plant Dissector."  Now I prefer growing flowers to pulling them apart!  I hope you'll enjoy my quirky, nerdy take on baking, gardening and other endeavors.  Stay tuned for new posts!
